The Gift of the Magi, a short Christmas Comedy Adapted by Jon Jory from the story of O. Henry.
Performances are at St Paul’s Hall on S 2nd Ave. December 2, 3, & 4, 2021 at 7:30 pm and December 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
The story involves newlyweds who want to get the perfect gift for each other but as the story takes place in New York City in the early 1900’s there are some challenges in their way. Please be sure to come to this production, especially if you like Christmas Carols and need a calm but fun night out.
Playing the role of the newlyweds Della and Jim, are Nicole Jensen and John Gill. Regina Gill will play several women in the show. Carter Richerodt and Josh Krough will play Jim’s coworkers and a few other bit parts. Richard Graves and Jon Huebner will play shop-keepers and Michael Gill will help hold the story together as a narrator.
Nicole, Regina, John, Carter and Josh are veteran’s of the MCT stage. This is a first appearance for Richard and Jon Huebner, as well as the first time that Michael will appear in an “adult” production.
The hall at St Paul’s is handicap accessible. There is parking available around the church. The show lasts about 90 minutes, including an intermission.
The director is Theresa Walton and Jason Kern is the assistant director.
